Monterrey, Mexico
Dates: July 6th- July 13th, 2025
Monterrey is a modern and vibrant city located in northeastern Mexico. It is the third-largest metropolitan area in the country with a population of approximately 4.7 million people. Known for it’s modern and cosmopolitan culture, with a growing middle class and a thriving business community, it’s a popular destination for international students and expats with a sizable foreign population hailing from countries such as the United States, Canada and Europe.
Additionally, Monterrey has a significant underserved population that faces substantial challenges in accessing essential services such as healthcare, education and housing. The city’s informal settlements, commonly known as “colonias populares,” are home to thousands of families who lack access to basic infrastructure and services. These communities often face issues such as inadequate healthcare services, poor sanitation and limited access to clean water.
Our next outreach work in this beautiful, yet underserved city is set for July 6th- July 13th, 2025. We will be working with local organizations such as Ilumina and Plan Independencia 2040 to identify areas of need and provide care where it is most needed. Our team of healthcare professionals will include US and local doctors, and other medical specialists who dedicate their time and expertise to serve those in need. Our undergraduate students will also be key members and vital to the outreach program.
In addition to medical care, we will offer educational programs that provide information on healthy living, disease prevention, and other important health topics. We believe that education is a powerful tool in empowering individuals to take control of their own health and wellbeing.
